How Lovely

I was watching an episode of Grey's yesterday with the roomie. It was the episode where Iz was going to have her first surgery after finding out she had cancer. And the whole day she spent waiting to go into surgery she knit a whole scarf. I have never in my life knit anything, but I'm sure it takes time. She knit this scarf with no interruptions, because no one came to visit her. Except for Bailey. Baily is the attending above Iz and her friends. The way I see it is that we are all dying everyday. It may not be form some terminal illness, but everyday we wake up, oblivious as to if we will see tomorrow. So we should take advantage of visits from friends, real life, face to face visits not a text message. We've become so desensitized to the would around us that we prefer to text rather, than call let alone see someone face to face. I can't wait to go home and see my family on thanksgiving and Christmas, if it be His will. til then thats all i have, phone calls and text messages.
